Fibrogenesis & Tissue Repair is an open access, peer-reviewed online journal featuring high-quality studies providing novel insights into the mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases characterized by chronic wound healing and fibrogenesis.

Fibrogenesis & Tissue Repair focuses on the discovery and characterization of the mechanisms of fibrogenesis and tissue repair. Fibrogenesis & Tissue Repair covers five major areas of fibroproliferative disorders: gastrointestinal and liver disease; renal disease; rheumatology and connective tissue disease; pulmonary disease and cardiovascular disease. Particular emphasis is given to studies leading to a significant advancement in the fields of genetic predisposition, diagnostic biomarkers and drug discovery. The journal will also publish important advancements in regenerative medicine and cell therapy related to fibroproliferative disease, and in the involvement of the stroma in cancerogenesis and tumor metastasis.

Fibrogenesis & Tissue Repair is the first journal dedicated to understanding, diagnosing and treating fibroproliferative diseases. Fibrogenesis & Tissue Repair aims to help fill the gap in communication that exists between scientists working in different subspecialties of experimental and clinical medicine and to allow them to rapidly exchange ideas and work on common targets.
